What happens to the specimen that I provide for TEN Healthcare?
After providing a specimen at the office of your provider it is shipped to TEN Healthcare where a series of tests are run on several different assays or panels to assist your physician with making medical decisions. Your provider has selected TEN Healthcare for testing these specimens because of the rapid turnaround, accuracy of the result, and clinical support provided by the laboratory.
TEN Healthcare will bill your insurer directly for the services we perform at the laboratory. These charges are separate from any amount your physician may bill your insurer for in-office testing. To ensure our billing is accurate please provide up to date and accurate insurance information to your provider. Your insurer will send you an Explanation of Benefits, which is not a bill. An EOB is a statement which allows the patient to see how your insurer processed TEN Healthcare’s claim. Please do not call your provider’s office with questions about TEN Healthcare’s billing policy.
